Schools

Help your students learn more, faster.
Connect your students to 24-hour English support.

The internet is awash with online language solutions, but Poligo is different. Poligo doesn't seek to replace language teachers, or a school experience — Poligo is a complement to your language school, enhancing service to your students. Entrusting Poligo to check your students' written homework and answer their questions outside of class hours speeds their development and allows you to better use their class time. You can rest assured that Poligo is staffed by professional, experienced teachers, not a community of well-meaning amateurs. We believe that there are some things you can do online, but that face-to-face experience is vital and irreplaceable.  So, Poligo Editors only do two things:

  1. Answer questions about English;
  2. Correct people's writing.

With your school as a Poligo partner, your students can get 24-hour online help with English problems, have their writing and homework corrected, and enjoy all of our unique content written specifically with learners in mind.

We make sure your students learn more faster by giving them the opportunity to use English between the lessons they take at your school.

The benefits for your students and school

Here's how Poligo can help your students and school.

1. Enhance your students' learning experience

Poligo helps improve your students' English faster. It raises the value of your classes and enhances your students' relationship with your school:

  • We deal with writing, homework correction and smaller troubleshooting issues leaving your teachers more time to focus on lesson content and the things you really need face-to-face time with a teacher for.
  • With our writing correction services, students can easily increase their output of English between classes through regular writing of journals, essays or emails, and by trying our reading and listening comprehension exercises.
  • Our regular fresh content is interesting to students. They are able to increase their English input reading accessible content on a wide range of topics.
  • Poligo Editors and schools work in concert: You set homework and tasks to be done between lessons on Poligo, and Poligo's Editors encourage and motivate users to take classes and use new language at your school.
  • Poligo raises the number of lessons your students take by feeding their enthusiasm for English and encouraging them to come to your school to deal with particular language issues that arise on Poligo, or to put new language in to practice.

2. An extra channel of communication
Keep in touch with students, past and present, active and "sleeping":

  • Increased communication with alumni enhances your school's reputation and can result in students returning for another course and better word-of-mouth marketing.
  • Increases contact between you and your students in controlled, convenient and managed circumstances (with a written record for both parties).
  • Not directly sales oriented, so it reduces customer scepticism.

3. Resources for students and teachers
Enrich a student's experience and improve your quality of teaching. Poligo has two main types of content: resources to study and learn about English, and accessible group posts (written in simple English) to read, so that learners can use and enjoy English, while increasing both English input and output:

  • Poligo's ever-increasing database of resources helps students and teachers.
  • Contribute to our online library as guest author.
  • Host your own Poligo group for free, branded with your school logo and Twitter and Facebook feeds, with a Poligo.com custom URL.
  • All teachers at affiliated schools can join as a Poligo teacher, giving them complete access to community resources (groups and forums) and Poligo's content.

4. Additional revenue stream
Poligo gives you continual extra revenue from students past and present:

  • You will get a sign up bonus (¥3,000 to ¥5,000 per student), if your students buy one of our packages.
  • You get a share of revenue from clients you refer to us in perpetuity (5%): for each user you sign up, that could be up to ¥10,000 per year.

Poligo Editors are passionate, professional teachers with plenty of experience teaching English in Japan. We are unaffiliated with English schools. Poligo does not seek to replace the valuable services English schools provide. We want to work together with schools to help learners master English.

We guarantee our quality of service 110%, and we assure you that Poligo can only enhance your students' experience of English.

What you need to do

We truly believe that Poligo fills a space in language education and that it will complement and improve your service to your students.  All we ask is that you recommend Poligo's service to motivated, Japanese students of English, who are interested in developing their writing skills, study well between lessons (They've got to like homework!) and who you think will prosper from the additional support Poligo can offer them.

  • Explanation time is minimal: The concept can be explained in a few minutes. Poligo tour and help pages will answer most student questions.
  • Reselling and client support is done by Poligo. Once you recommend a client to us, we really look after them.
  • There are no upfront costs to schools or students (and no need to pre-buy in bulk and on-sell): clients pay as they go, and can leave and restart Poligo whenever they choose. Our system is flexible, affordable and fair.

Contact Poligo now to sign your school up for our partnership programme. You will get your own private community (blog) on Poligo accessible only to your students, or public (you choose). We will set up your community homepage on Poligo (your own Poligo Group), and give you registration links and logos to add to your own homepage.
